Zstd in futur update Graphical Interface

Bonsoir, pouvez-vous ajouter la compression des flux en zstd dans l’interface graphique !? Je sais que ça existe en ligne de commande mais c’est très compliqué et si la compression des flux existait en zstd en interface graphique ça serait beaucoup plus simple ! jusqu’à maintenant j’ai fait en zlib mais j’ai hâte d’avoir zstd en interface graphique dans les prochaines mise à jour. Good evening, could you please add zstd stream compression to the graphical interface? I know it exists via the command line, but it’s very complicated, and if zstd stream compression were available in the graphical interface, it would be much simpler! You’re wrong; MKVToolNix does not support zstd compression, simply because the Matroska format itself doesn’t support zstd compression yet. There’s a pull request that’s been open for a while & work is ongoing but not finished. I will not add support before it’s been merged into the official specs.

It seems it’s doable via the command line, but you say it’s not implemented yet. Will it ever be available in the graphical interface? And approximately when? And in which version of mkvtoolnix?

No, it is not possible through the command line. There simply is no support for zstd in all of MKVToolNix yet.

Like I said before, I will not add support until it’s part of the specs. As I do not know when that’ll be I cannot tell you when support will come in MKVToolNix.
