After installing v78, my preferences seem to have been reset (lost), including predefined values. Restoring GUI config settings file has no effect.
Maybe you’re now using the installed version instead of the portable one or vice versa, or you installed into a location that used to contain a portable copy. I’ve recently changed the installer to fix these situations so that an installation done via the setup exe will definitely work like an installed one (earlier ones were working in an in-between state that hat subtle issues).
Look at “Help” → “System information”. In the “Paths” section there’s “is installed” which tells you if the GUI is running in the installed mode (value “1”) or the portable mode (value “0”). Then refer to this FAQ entry to see where the preferences are stored.
…and I just noticed that the information is also present right at the top in the “General” section, including the full path & file name to the ini file. I’ll have to unify that a bit.
