Split Destination File

When I’m muxing a TV series, I have a template for naming the episodes, I use ‘Replace’ to add the show name to all of them, then copy and paste the episode titles into each. I then paste each title into the ‘Destination file:’ I have to be very careful. I keep leaving traces of the previous name and the new one gets lost. I also keep deleting the"" and the new file ends up in the root folder. Otherwise, I’ll cut out the “.” before mkv meaning the file will have no extension.

Can the ‘Destination file:’ box be divided into 3 parts?

  • The Destination folder -
  • The File name
  • The File extension (.mkv)
This way a file name can be pasted in without have to take care about improperly removing the previous default name.

I’m sorry, but I’m not interested in making such a change.

What might help you: you can transfer the movie title to the destination file name with “Multiplexer” → “Copy movie title to destination file name” or its keyboard shortcut Ctrl+T. That way you can copy & paste into the movie title input field & hit that option afterwards.
