mkvmerge GUI is the old GUI that was part of MKVToolNix. It was discontinued roughly eight years ago & replaced with MKVToolNix GUI. mkvmerge GUI was available on Linux back in the day when it was still developed, just like MKVToolNix GUI is available on Linux now.
The other two programs you’ve mentioned (gMKVExtractGUI, MKVCleaver2) aren’t my programs. I have no influence over them, I certainly cannot add a Linux version for them as they aren’t mine.
I’m not going to reply to anything else here as I don’t consider it to be productive. You’re clearly venting a lot of anger, and that’s fine, but it doesn’t really make me want to engage with you either.
I apologize if I offended you in any way. A lot of unnecessary things were said on my part.
You are a great developer who created a great product and I as a user just wanted to request some features that could improve the usability of the project.
In any case, it’s up to you to make changes to the product, as it is completely yours. I’m just a casual user.
About MkvMerge, thanks for the clarification. I used the program 2\3+ years ago on Windows and did not know that the functionality was integrated into mkvtoolnix. MkvMerge GUI screenshots were shown in many places and it confused me a lot. That’s why I drew the wrong conclusions. That was ignorant on my part.
I think I may have overstepped my bounds. Please delete the topic, I’m so sorry
Maybe the Linux world is not for me and I need to go back to Windows…
