How do I turn off these popups?

They cannot be turned off. They only appear when you hover over certain parts of the interface with your mouse.

That’s too bad because they’re annoying. I thought these tool tips could be disabled. I have the mouse pointer down there and I constantly have to flick it away because it’s covering something up in the Destination File path which I have to edit quite a bit.
Any chance you might consider a way of disabling them in future versions?

Aaaah! I was wrong! I totally forgot that I had already added the option to disable all tooltips in the preferences. First page.

Yes, I already unticked the tooltips box but those pop-ups still appear.
Would this be a bug, or am I missing another menu option?

“Disable tooltips” works as intended here. This is possibly too obvious but you realize you have to tick the option, don’t you

It doesn’t matter. Even after starting and re-starting the program, ticked or unticked, that warning pop-up in the original first post keeps appearing.
A bug of some kind, perhaps? 
You’re right, this is a bug. I’ve just fixed it, and the fix will be part of the upcoming release v89.
