Name of tracks tv

Hello everyone,

The names of the tracks (audio or subtitles) don’t appear on my tv.

On computer when i edit the video with the software i put a label on each track and it appears correctly if i watch the video afterward on vlc for example

example : audio 1 named : English DTS, audio 2 english Atmos etc…

But on my tv it will appear as track1 , track2 etc.. it’s a bit annoying especially when you look for a subtitle between many different tracks

the videos are stored on an external drive, and connected on tv via an hardrive dock.

My tv is a TCL

Does anyone know how to solve that issue ?

Welcome!

This is an issue in your TV’s software. You can complain to your vendor about it. There’s nothing to do from any other end.

So it’s possible on another tv i guess, do you have an example of a brand that can do that?

I don’t use TVs, I run media players from PCs through regular monitors. Therefore I cannot name one. Maybe others can.
