I notice that MKVToolNix Downloads – Matroska tools for Linux/Unix and Windows no longer offers a dmg of the new version. Evidently ended with v97. Is there any other place that I can get a dmg of v98? Thanks!

Please read the whole “macOS” section you’ve linked to. It explains the available options.
Sorry to be such a wimp, but I am not familiar with any of the other methods other than a dmg with the app on it.
