Issue with MKVToolNix GUI V90.0-V91.0

Hello, with V90 and V91 all text in appear as boxes, not sure how to describe it.

OS: Windows Server 2016

Welcome!

Your operating system isn’t supported. To be a bit more technical: the GUI library used by MKVToolNix, Qt, requires certain functionality to be present in Windows. These requirements changed in Qt 6.8.x, requiring DirectWrite & with it some more up to date versions. For example, other users on old Windows 10 releases reported issues, and another user found out that at least Windows 10 Build 16299 is required. It’s highly likely that similar requirements exist for Server 2016.

I see, thank you for your explanation :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
I will probably downgrade to V89.0

@Omar It’d be best not to downgrade to v89.0, many users are happily using the latest version v91.0 here NON-OFFICIAL Windows-builds of MKVtoolnix. - Page 12 - VideoHelp Forum

@oniiz86 thank you so much. I’ve upgraded to this non-official build, but the text and labels look a bit old compared to v89.0, but i will probably use it instead of v89.0

@Omar I forgot to mention if you’d like to try this Qt6 build of v91.0, it may have the newer text & labels that you’re after here, I know the builds mention Windows 7 but it’s also suitable for earlier Windows 10/Windows Server 2016 builds that are no longer officially supported, Release MKVToolnix for Windows 7 · jpsdr/MKVToolnix-Windows-7 · GitHub
