Is it possible to shift ALL chapters by a certain amount using chapter editor?

MKVtoolnix is amazing. Thank you for this application.

I love the feature where you right-click on a chapter, to go “additional modifications”, check the first box, then specify a time to shift the chapter by. However, it is limited to one chapter at a time.

Usually, when I’m shifting chapter time frames, I want to shift ALL chapters by a certain amount.
I’m usually doing this because when I ripped media off of a disc, certain episodes were combined, so I split them with AviDemux, then I need to shift all chapters from the latter half back by a certain amount so they start at zero and count up from there.

Is this possible with MKVToolNix? If not, it would be a great feature. Thank you!

Welcome!

Those operations work on the currently selected node & all of its children. Just right-click on the parent edition instead of a single chapter, and it’ll apply to all of them.

Hard to believe I’ve used your app so much, and been totally blind to the fact that chapters are nested under an “edition” parent. That’ll come in handy! :smile: Thanks again!
