Impossible to deactivate SRT subtitle

Hi everyone, sorry if this has already been said, difficult to read the forum, I don’t speak English and I translate via a site.

When I create an MKV with an SRT subtitle, even if I select NO for the default display, forced, etc., it doesn’t work.

It creates the film with YES. I’ve tried editing the *.mtxcfg file (because choosing No saves it as Yes anyway), but as soon as I open it in MKVToolNix, it sets it back to Yes.

The only way I’ve found to do this is to put another ‘empty’ SRT file that I set to “default” and ‘forced’!

If it works well for you, it’s because it’s me. Unfortunately, I don’t think a version 2 of me is in the my personne… LOL

Thanks for MKVToolNix!

Welcome!

There are several settings in the preferences that control how some flags are set when you add a file to the GUI, no matter how they’re set in the file itself. You can change all of their behavior including turning those features off if you don’t want the default behavior.

This is most likely not a bug.
