hi i want to cut 02:00:26-02:04:55 part from whole video but i have no idea how can i do it with gui. can anyone help ?
I think you may want to cut the entire video to the 02:00:26 mark, then take the original video make the beginning at 02:04:55 till the end
Basically you have a first copy going from the beginning to 02:00:26 and a second copy from 02:04:55 to the end.
Then you can Remux both files to “stick them”
Although, video editors could do a better job than MKVToolNix, since doesn’t have a complete engine to edit videos like that
I think I’m late to this but you can use the “splitting” feature in the gui under the “output” tab. You can use the “By part based on timestamps” option.
The guides written in tooltips visible when you place your mouse over the field can help you get the correct format.
Please note you cannot make precise cuts, mkvtoolnix will cut wherever it can after the given timestamp if it can’t cut exactly there.
Hence you can definitely put 02:00:26-02:04:55 into the “Parts:” field.
If your format was incorrect you’ll see “error” when you click on “start multiplexing” and a red cross will blink. You can get rid of the flashing red symbol by right-clicking it and selecting “Acknowledge all errors/warnings”
