Cant fix the delay even trying enormeus values

Hello!

Im trying to remux a film adding a second audio track.
In audacity, i see that difference between oiginal track and 2nd track is 54 ms (second track is early than original track), so i added a delay of ms.

After remuxing, on audacity appear the same 54ms…
I tried with other values like 250ms for getting more delay but the remux is the same of 54ms.

What im doing bad? if not possible to add a track with specific delay?

Regards

I don’t know how you verify that “on audacity appear the same 54ms” but if you indeed mean 54 millisecs, that’s a negligible delay that would pass unnoticed in a typical movie as far as lipsync, etc. is concerned. Anyway, since you are using Audacity to edit the track you should add some silence at the beginning, save the track and then remux that without any delay, as the track is theoretically already in sync after your edit.

VLC supports setting an arbitrary “delay” in real time, I suppose this isn’t VLC skewing the result?
