I have no experience using this software or any other similar to this. I tried both with the GUI and with the command line to turn my 1.1GB ts file into a mkv file and it just produces an unusable 5KB file. Does anyone know what the problem might be?
This might be due to the TS file not containing a PAT & PMT (program association table/program mapping table). These contain information which track ID contains what kind of codec & additional information such as language etc. Basically a table of contents. MKVToolNix can only handle MPEG transport streams files that contain both.
