It’s one of my pet-peeves that dimensions (ie Frame height, Frame width) of MKV files do not show up in Windows Explorer. I often use this on older videos to find out if I have a high resolution video. As is, I have to open the video to check it’s size or use MediaInfo which is even more awkward. Can MKVToolNix be set up to automatically add dimension tags? I know the demensions show up as properties when I am using it. I’ve seen posts about adding tags and that seems like a quite bit of work for a menial issue. Automatic detection and addition would be great.
Huh? The dimensions are regular track properties, mkvmerge always writes them for video tracks. Windows (Microsoft) needs to get its act together & not fail on the most basic of parsing tasks. I will not spend time implementing workaround for such obvious bugs in other people’s software, especially when “other people” are one of the world’s biggest companies with endless supply of money.
